Vehicle Delivery

When you are notified that your car has landed at the dealership it usually takes 3 to 5 days before it can be delivered. This time is used to book the vehicle through the workshop for its safety checks (PDI) and also valet it so it is squeaky clean before leaving the premises.

Once all of this has been done we will be authorised to arrange delivery where our team will contact you to arrange the earliest convenient date. All deliveries are driven unless you would like to pay for it to be transported. Drivers usually aim for AM or PM as per delivery instructions however this can depend on the distance and traffic on the day. The driver will call you 1 hour before arriving so that you can be prepared for the handover.

Delivery Day

Your new wheels are due to arrive! its important that you follow the below steps so that the handover is conducted efficiently and nothing is missed out:

Demonstration - Ask the driver to show you the basic controls of the vehicle which they will be happy to do. If you need more detailed explanations of the controls and different features we would recommend that you look from the user manual which will come with the car or van.

Condition - it is important to check all the way around the car for any damages because you would be charged for this when handing the car back at the end of the agreement if it is not on the signed delivery note.

  • Check the windows for chips
  • Tyres for punctures
  • Alloy wheel damage
  • Paintwork
  • interior fabrics

Fuel - Your new lease car will usually come with around a quarter of a tank however this is not a contractual requirement.

Specs - Make sure that all of the requested optional extras are on the car.

Other important things to check is the mileage on the car as the delivery mileage is not deducted from your contractual mileage. You should make sure there are 2 keys and the Registration number matches the finance documents and more importantly your insurance certificate so that your policy is not voided.

If you require any advise at the time of inspection please give us a call and we will advise you on what to do. If the car is too dirty to inspect then the driver should take the vehicle to be cleaned before you sign the delivery note.

We are here to help and want to make sure the whole process is smooth and enjoyable so if we can do anything to improve it please give us a call on 01625 568 612 or email sales@letstalkfinance.co.uk
